The camera does not show image and no error message.   Have uninstalled and reinstalled camera to no effect.  Then followed instructions with device manager, which causes the camera to be disabled, so have to retrace steps and have to undo.

   Webcam image is very dark or black - troubleshooting suggestions

thanks for the replies. Have tried suggestions to no avail. Now, after reinstall....get error message of: CEC_MAIN.exe not responding,when trying video.   Audio- no problem..snapshot-.just dark blank screen,,,,video-error message.

That's the utility (Camera Assistant). Sorry, but the only thing I know to do is uninstall and reinstall it.

Perhaps you should post in the European forum for that computer.
