E105 HDMI output only??

I just bought a Satellite E105-S1802 two days ago, and I've already discovered a huge problem. Is HDMI really the only video output? Not a single projector where I work takes HDMI, all VGA/S-video/composite. Is buying a $100 HDMI to VGA converter my only option?

I'm afraid the answer is yes, but I'm hoping someone who knows more about video setup has a different answer! I would take it back to BestBuy, but I'm afraid the restocking fee is more than the converter... grrrrr.

Yep. HDMI is the only video out on that laptop.

I've never worked with any of the converters so I don't know how well they work, if at all.

As for the restocking fee, that shouldn't apply if you exchange it for a different model.

yep, HDMI only. I think that's a model that only BestBuy sells, so they apparently specced the machine out to their satisfaction.

However, I belieive that if you call Toshiba, they may have some sort of solution to your problem. Not sure if they are still doing it, but I recall some provision for sending out adapters.
