I have a satellite A305-S6905. When I turn it on the computer runs fine but the the screen is black like it is off. I looked with a flashlight and it is running and the dispay is thereyou just can't see it. Can anyone help me to fix it?

Sounds like the backlight (or possibly the inverter) went out.  It takes a bit of diagnosing to determine which one it is and I'm not qualified to assist in that part of it.

you do need a new FL inverter... part number is V000120220. if your unit is still under warranty then that issue will be covered. if not, pricing online should't be too much, but i'd recommend taking the unit to an ASP (Authorized Service Provider) to have the repair done. they will have access to buying the part direct from Toshiba and installing it.
