New P505 S8980 Yellow Vertical line in display

Recently purchased Satellite P505-S8980 with narrow vertical line on display. Updated driver for Win7 with same problem. Temporarily in Costa RIca with no phone access. Any suggestions or is there a avenue to tech support via internet?

vertical lines that don't go away are usually hardware related. you may have to wait until you are back in the US to either get your laptop to the toshiba repair depot or to a local asp (authorized service provider).

Two things happened since the first post. I connected the laptop to an external TV and the line remained on the laptop screen but was not present on the TV. I think this indicates the graphics card is ok and the laptop screen may be faulty.
The second happening was several hours after testing it with the tv the yellow line dissapeared and has not returned yet.
Was hoping to find an email access to some form of tech support.
