hello all,

Iam new here. I am trying to figure out how to play videos using media player on my laptop and display it with a projector without having my background and cursor and everything from the laptop showing up on the big screen. iam using the laptop to play videos at our wrestling event onto a big projection screen and i dont want the computer screen showing up on the screen. I knew someone that ran their videos from a laptop through a projector and all u would see was the video never saw the laptop screen. How is this possible, i project it and have to see whatever iam doing on the laptop on the big screen until i select full screen mode. Is this a software that is needed or is it a setting i can adjust on the laptop. Thanks all

Maybe I'm missing something here. Why would you expect it to be different?  

On an external monitor/projector, you get whatever you see on the laptop's screen.
