Hi! I really like the screen on the Tecra M4, but the machine itself seems to have many problems wrt overheating. I was wondering, since the Portege M200 and the Tecra M4 are so similar in design otherwise if it would be possible to simply connect a Tecra M4 screen to the Portege M200. This way it would be possible to drive the beautiful big 14" high-resolution screen with the sturdy little M200.
Does anybody know if this is possible? I've been having a hard time finding any data on the screen hardware specifics. Also, I can't seem to find an email for any of Toshiba's tech departments. I'd like to ask one of their technicians, but they seem to only accept phone calls. Also, I am working with used models, so I'm not covered by any of their warranty agreements.
Any thoughts? I don't want to waste a few hundred bucks experimenting with used parts if there is an obvious reason why it simply wouldn't work.
Thanks!
