Greetings to all.... I recently purchased a Satellite L355d S7901, and was initially very pleased with my purchase, but after reading a few reviews, many people claim that this system runs very slowly, and I am looking for some basic tweaks to get things moving a little faster.... I am not splitting atoms with it, just the usual, but it does boot very slowly, and I was wondering if anyone had some basic knowledge on what I can do, I have heard that you can change screen performance to speed it up, without noticing much difference visually, would love to know how to do that, they don't tell you much in the 4 page owners manual...LOL.... Thanks for any help from the forum..... Steve

The actual User's Guide is on the hard drive in Adobe Acrobat Format.
The first thing to do is make sure Windows Vista Service Pack 2 is installed as well as all of the other Windows updates. That helps a lot.
As for other tweaks, you should check out BlackViper for that info.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.
