hey everybody, how yall doing? i bought an acer netbook on june 26 and that act reignited my love of all things PC. it had been since 1992 since i last owned a computer, an AST 486 sx in fact.
i loved that netbook but i knew that i needed more power to do the things i loved to do on the net: listening to music, uploading vids etc so i chose toshiba.
i sold my netbook for $200 2 days ago and went to best buy were much to my surprise this model was on sale for an excellent price.
my reasons for choosing toshiba were that you got more bang for the buck compared to HP (my other choice). ive only had it 24hrs so i dont have a review but im pleased with the fit and finish as well as the 4gb of ram and the N wireless connection--those are just a few things you dont get on other notebooks of similar price.
this model is actually new; the one i was looking at had a 16'' screen, 320gb hdd, a modem, disc-labeling, 3 usb ports but only 3gb of ram; this has only 250gb hdd, 2 usb ports, no modem, no disc-labeling and a smaller screen. but this was on sale and i got it for $486--a very good deal i feel.
anyway hello to all the toshiba owners out there; anybody else got this best by special?

My friend got the 16" model you were talking about. It was also on sale at Bestbuy in my area. Very similar $500 price point too. Hes going to use it for college, the laptop itself feels pretty nice. I like the keyboard, and new design.

yes the fusion makeover is a nice change from the normally boxy, workmanlike chassis you get at this pricepoint.
is yer friend plzed with his laptop?
