Windows 7

In a nutshell with Internet Explorer 8 installed with Vista Home Premium animated graphics that I make were of very poor quality.   I uninstalled IE8 and reinstalled IE7 .. perfect again!

I installed Windows 7 .. very cool!    Oops IE8 installed .. same deal with the animated graphics I make .. very poor quality.

Firefox and Google Chrome ..no worries although Google Chrome has other issues so I am now trying out Firefox.

Thing is I WANT to use Windows 7 and IE8!

There is a setting somewhere I am missing?   Every driver is updated .. ATI to the Windows 7 one.   CCleaner is run regularly as well the usual other things ....

If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.

Can you provide a sample of the graphics that you are having problems with?

Sorry I thought that PSAG4A was the model number.   It is a Satellite laptop .. PSAG4A-02500M  I am not that computer literate.

This is the same kind of thing I saw when IE8 was installed with Vista Home Premium so I reinstalled IE7 and the graphic once again looked clear again.

My siggie below is the animated version.   On this laptop I see it with the movement behind the smiley .. looks like an etched shadow!   On my husband's desktop it looks  just fine.

It's working fine in IE8 on my desktop (IE8, WIndows XP 64bit) as well as on my L305-S5933 running Windows 7 and IE8 so it has to be something wrong with you IE settings.  Try clearing your personal data from IE8 to see if that helps.

Guess I will just stick with Firefox.  I give up!

You should go to one of the IE8 forums over at Microsoft as I'm sure one of them would know exactly how to correct the problem.

It was a simple fix which I finally figured out this morning.   

When I went to Page/Zoom on IE8 nothing was checked!    I did the obvious and checked 100% and bingo .. all graphics look fine.   IE8 must have a default setting  which remains until you actually reset it or you use the zoom feature at least once which I hadn't done on either of my computers.

FF and Google Chrome worked fine without me having to adjust any settings.  

Now if the ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650 would stop crashing regularly.   Have read the answer to that on this forum so will be looking to fix that too!
