Hardware-Assisted Virtualization

Why is this disabled and greyed out in my BIOS? I use to run VMware Workstation on this machine when I had Vista and it worked fine! What gives!?

Re: Hardware-Assisted Virtualization

According to Intel the T6400 cpu in your system doesn't support Virtualization Technology.  See http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=40479

Re: Hardware-Assisted Virtualization

No idea.  I'm just reporting the information I've found.  See this Microsoft Support Site for a tool that tells you if you have VT capability or not.

One of the sites I checked states that there are some VT's that are software based, but they didn't specify which ones they are.
