Why is this disabled and greyed out in my BIOS? I use to run VMware Workstation on this machine when I had Vista and it worked fine! What gives!?

According to Intel the T6400 cpu in your system doesn't support Virtualization Technology. See http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=40479
If you don't bother to post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.

No idea. I'm just reporting the information I've found. See this Microsoft Support Site for a tool that tells you if you have VT capability or not.
One of the sites I checked states that there are some VT's that are software based, but they didn't specify which ones they are.
