As for using 4gigs of ram in it, you need to have the latest bios and use a pair of either Kingston KTT533D2/2G or KTT667D2/2G ram modules (do not mix them). 4gig support was added in bios ver 2.40 but it's best to install the latest version. Be sure to use the CD option for updating the bios. DO NOT use the Windows based flash. And make sure your battery is fully charged and the AC adapter is plugged in when you flash it. It still won't show 4gig usable due to it sharing some of the system ram as video ram.
CHeck out some of the posts in the WIndows 7 forum here as well as the Sound/Audio forum here about the Conexant SOund Driver problem with WIndows 7 64bit. Some people are successfully using a driver from HP. Especially check out these two threads.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.
