Re: Windows 7 - what have you installed it on, and what doesn't work?

The unknown device "ACPI\TOS6205" under Windows 7 is Bluetooth. It works fine after the installation of the suitable Bluetooth stack.

I used the v6.30.01(T) for it. Available in the download section of:

Re: Windows 7 - what have you installed it on, and what doesn't work?

FWIW-

I dual boot Windows 7 off the second partition of an Satellite M105-S3004 and it runs fantastically. Off the bat, it didn't recognize the SD card slot or fingerprint scanner, but both beta drivers were available from the manufacturer websites. The only real gripe I have is that the laptop never comes out of sleep- the screen stays off and only the power and SD status lights appear on. I'm not sure if it's a Microsoft or Toshiba or even BIOS issue, but it's annoying to have it sleep and the have to power down, wait, and reboot. The only workaround I've encountered was to prevent the laptop sleeping, and that puts a serious drain on battery life.

Otherwise, it works really, really well.

Guess, no one mentioned this is a BETA Windows 7 release, and it will have compatibility issues with legacy hardware, software and devices.  Microsoft did mention in the ACCEPT block you would install at own risk and that you needed to go to Compatability Advisor to see if your component would support this release.

Most of the issue of non compatability are just that the wizard installer can not find the right software, however doing a manual search which is vastly improved will direct you in the right direction to look and find what is needed and find the install file from there and then it is up and running.

It is very stable I am still using it since my post here in this forum, Apart from some websites not working properly I can not fault the system at all.  RC1 should be out in April, which has a lot of changes from the 7000 beta.  And the best thing is that I will be getting a full install disk not the recovery crap they send out with computers these days.

May be because you are running off your second partition and it can't be found when trying to come out of sleep as it is looking on the first partition, maybe flashing the bios while running win7 could help fix the problem. or you could try reinstalling the Hal files.
