Re: upgrade vista to windows 7 rtm.

Thanks so much for your help/suggestion, everyone. (Just took a bit more looking around, on my part. --Duuh-ert!) :smileywink:  I did actually find my way through most of the order process, finally; & learned I am eligible for an upgrade to 7Premium.  However now I find I may've run into another snag: The proof of purchase requirement. Having ordered from Amazon, I don't really have a paper 'receipt.' And even if I did, I definitely don't  have a scanner or even a printer to make a copy to send in. ...So here's what I did (and I hope it works!):

I emailed Toshiba's Window7Upgrade Contact Us address to explain my lack of a scanner, etc; then also FORWARDED copies of Amazon's 'My Recent Orders' page, and the Confirmation email I received from them, to the Windows7upgrade address, as my 'proofs of purchase.'  I'm not sure if they'll accept that; but I'm pretty sure there must be other people out there in the same position. (Having ordered online, but not owning a copier/scanner, etc) Maybe I still haven't read far enough on their ordering guidelines pages, but I haven't seen this situation addressed anywhere yet.  Maybe I'm just not seeing it...??

Re: upgrade vista to windows 7 rtm.

If that doesn't work check with your local library or office supply store.  They should be able to scan it into aa digital copy for a small fee.  Otherwise there is still the option of mailing a photocopy of the receipt to Toshiba.
