IE 8 crashes almost every new page load

Satellite L305D, visa home prem serv pack 2. iE 8. It may have come with IE7, I don't recall.

Almost every time I go to a new page, click a link or perform another task on a webpage the IE8 crashes. it gives the error message, "Internet Explorer has stopped working. Check online for a solution and close the program. Close the program. " when i click on details, problem event name "Bex"

had laptop for almost 8 months and hardly use it because it's such a pile of crap trying to go online.

what can i do?

Well, an eight pound sledgehammer will cure the problem.

On a less sarcastic note, why not try a different browser? Firefox or Opera, for example.
