Reference: Avast Professional Download...
They understand the problem they are requesting that user try this... Link and instructions... However, I believe the problem may still exist because the issue I am having is with the EXE that is downloading failing with an HTML error and then going to the finish page. I have clarrified this for them... Therefore this post is subject to update and deletion and re-post one the real problem is figured out.

You can download Avast professional from our web page
http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-profession
It is also possible to download the universal file that is much smaller, but you can have connection problems during the installation due to proxy or firewall settings. Therefore I would recommend you to download the full installation package (click on grey "Download" button next to the appropriate language compilation). Do not click on "Universal installation file".

Having to deal with a different date/time zone in the email support arena.
Just wanted to let you know that I working the issue as of this post and will continue to do so...
Be prepared to give it a installation test, that does not have an installation error.

The Avast Link posted Above and below has now been validated to be working... Please give the Avast Pro a try.
1. Go to this below links and download à SAVE à Run the downloaded file
From Avast professional web page http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-profession
2. If you get an error, perform a Screen Capture with either Snagit or ALT_Shift-Print Screen (PRTSC on your keyboard)..
3. Past the screen print into an email and email it to me…
If you get an error. Send and email to Support@avast.com Subject: [ASW #YJS-361320]: Avast Professional Download

Hi folks,
Hank, I was able to download Avast on the one machine and it seems to be running well so thanks for that.
Jerry, I created a new account as well as booted up in safe mode with networking and guess what?... no problems on either of them. So... now what? ![]()
I meant to mention, but the other Toshiba that's doing this... I had to reinstall windows a little while ago. IE8 had this problem before and after the installation. I just wanted to mention that.
So let me know your thoughts. And again, thank you!
Christa.

Christa, the first item means something in your profile makes the trouble. The second means it's loaded automatically during Windows' boot.
Try clean boot troubleshooting. Open the System Configuration utility (msconfig.exe), uncheck all the items on the Startup tab, and reboot to see if it happens then. If not, recheck half the items and reboot again - and so forth - to track down the culprit.
More here.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Hello, Jerry.
Well I went through and did was you said. There are several programs that I found that caused (?) this problem. I actually may not have gotten them all. I hadn't changed my settings and the last test only just started to do this blank page thing, so maybe I didn't give certain programs enough time to do the blank page thing.
Anyway, here is my list. I have name and manufacturer. Let me know if you want the location, etc of them.
Microsoft Windows Operating System (Microsoft Corporation)
KeNotify Application (Unknown Application)
HwSetup (Unknown)
SVPWUTIL Application (TOSHIBA)
Toshiba Power Saver (Toshiba Corporation)
Microsoft Office 2000 (Microsoft Corporation)
I'm confused about the MS Office 2000. I don't use it. I use a later version.
Anyway, let me know your thoughts on these items.
Hope you had a nice weekend!
Thank you!
Christa.

Hi again, I obviously missed something cause I turned off the problem areas and I'm still having the problem. I will keep checking around, but in the meantime, let me know what you think about what I've found so far.
Thanks again!
Christa.
