So far the only one i'm craving for is the Realtek HD Audio driver,

Jerry what can I say? Much tahnks for the link to the latest and best driver.
I saved the link though. 50MB on a Starbuck wireless will take a while, and I just spent over 4 hrs updateing xp.
But while I was doing that, and after my post, I found a 1.82a driver on the web, and bingo, i got xp sound.
Yeah...no mattter what happens from here on out, I'm super satisfied with my L355D-7829.
I'm definately going to buy two more, for wife and son. These are really desktop replacements.
