I have Same model A205 - S5804 , but when I try to downgrade my lapi from Vista to xp.
the XP cd does not detects the SATA hdd. In some desktops I have changed the SATA mode to IDE emulation in bios and then XP can detect the hdd without any additional drivers.
I would like to know how to change the SATA mode to IDE emulation/ compatible mode in the bios. I have listed the Bios settings of the Laptop
below:
**************************
The BIOS is Phoenix Trusted Core (tm) set utility. There are six items
in the BIOS menu.
(1) Main
Hard Disk drive: Toshiba MK1246GSX-(S1)
Optical Disk Drive:
Total Memory: 1024MB
System
BIOS Version: 1.7
(2) Advanced
Core muti-processing---- Enabled
Dybamic CPU Freq Mode: Dynamic
Inertnal CIR [Disabled] -- This could not be
accessed.
Intel (R) turbo Memory [Enabled]---- This could not be
accessed.
(3) Security
User password: Clear
Supervisor PWS: Clear
HDD user password status: HDD Password Frozen--- This could not
be accessed.
Built-in HDD password: [user only]----------------------
This could not be accessed.
(4) Display
(5) Boot
HDD
FDD
CD/DVD
LAN
USB Memory
(6) Exit
**************************
Thanking you in advance.
